We started the day at San Francisco's busiest tourist area, Pier 39.
From here we were able to sample the local flavor including a tour
of the Boudin bread factory along with views of Alcatraz.

Next we were off to a trolley tour throughout the city.
On the tour we got to experience the thrill of racing down the hilly streats of San Francisco,
view some of the city's architecture, tour the ritzy shopping area of Union Square,
and see the famous Lombard street with 8 turns in a city block (which we later drove down!)

Next on the itenerary was a bay cruise where we had great views of the city from the bay,
the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the Bay Bridge.

The next stop was lunch overlooking the bay's sea lions
and a visit to Pier 39's Aquarium of the Bay with walk-thru tanks.

We ended the first day with a visit to the famous Ghirardelli chocolate shop
where Julie finished things off with a chocolate sundae.
